For reliable and trouble free performance, the CSS Range of vertical pumps is a cantilever shaft design - there are no immersed bearings which means that the pump can run dry indefinitely. This makes them ideal for applications such as sump emptying, recirculating plating liquids, effluent treatment plants and fume scrubbers.

Available in polypropylene, PVC or PVDF for ultimate corrosion resistance with O-rings in Viton or Kelrez, CSS pumps are suitable for handling even the most arduous of chemical applications. At the mounting plate level there is a labyrinth fume seal to protect the heavy duty oversized bearings which are mounted above the mounting plate in an enclosed housing to protect them from the environment.

In common with all Crest Pumps, the wet end is machined from solid plastic. The support column is fabricated and incorporates a double skinned - heavy duty tube arrangement, making the CSS range of pumps exceptionally rugged and robust.

Maintenance is virtually eliminated due to the absence of immersed pump bearings. However, when the time eventually comes for an overhaul, a minimum number of parts and the simplicity of the design makes for an absolute minimum of down-time.
