The development of the ECC series of corrosion resistant acid pump is based upon over 30 years experience of manufacturing plastic pumps for the most arduous of applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment and associated industries.

All wetted parts are machined from solid blocks of plastic (polypropylene, PVC,PVDF, PTFE) for the ultimate in robust construction, but all pipeline forces are absorbed by a rugged steel shell. The stainless steel shaft (which is completely sleeved from the liquid) is oversized to minimise shaft deflection and increase the life of the mechanical seal. There is a separate shaft sleeve which is mechanically driven so relieving any additional stress imposed on the impeller, this also results in cost effective spare parts as and when the time comes for replacement.

A wide range of mechanical seals can be fitted including an external PTFE bellows with silicon carbide face and seats, double pressurised seal assemblies for handling crystalline or abrasive solutions and single internal seals for less demanding duties.

Semi-open impellers are fitted and secured to the shaft to prevent unscrewing in the case of start-up in the wrong direction.

Suction lifts up to 4 metres can be achieved by utilising a priming pot on the suction side.
